Sovera Health
Who can receive care through Sovera Health?
Sovera Health provides telehealth medical care to adults who are physically located in Texas at the time of their appointment. If you will be outside Texas, please contact us before scheduling.
What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit is a comprehensive intake focused on your health history, current concerns, prior labs and treatment, lifestyle, and goals. We then discuss recommended testing, initial priorities, and next steps for your care.
Is Sovera Health cash-pay?
Yes. Sovera Health is a cash-pay practice and does not bill insurance for visits. This allows us to provide longer appointments and continuity of care. Pricing is shared before care begins.
Can labs be billed through insurance?
Eligible serum labs may be billed through insurance depending on your plan and coverage. Please contact your insurance provider for details on lab coverage.
What concerns does Sovera Health address?
Sovera Health provides individualized care for hormone changes, perimenopause and menopause, thyroid and metabolic health, cardiovascular risk, gut and digestive concerns, weight management, functional medicine, and healthy aging.
How is my health information protected?
We handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA. Review our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices for information about how your health information may be used, disclosed, and protected, as well as your rights as a patient.
Sovera Coaching
Is coaching the same as medical care or therapy?
No. Sovera Coaching is a nonmedical service focused on personal growth and change. Coaching does not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions and is not psychotherapy. During coaching, Amy is acting solely in her role as a coach, not as your medical provider.
Getting started
Does browsing the website or submitting a form make me a patient?
No. Browsing the website, sending an email, or submitting a consultation request does not establish a provider-patient relationship. A provider-patient relationship begins only after Sovera Health accepts you for care and the required intake and consent process is completed.
Does Sovera Collective see men?
Yes. Sovera Health primarily serves women navigating midlife, yet services are also available to men.
